Original edition of Wickelmann's Tarot der Eingeweihten. According to The Encyclopedia of Tarot, vol. I, this edition "...was printed in Berlin by a Mr. Schikowski, apparently to be given out as Christmas gifts." The symbolism largely follows in the Marseille tradition, with the images rendered in the style of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. A smaller, yellow/orange edition was issued in 1962 to accompany a book written by Joachim Winckelmann.
