Tarot that matches sketches and art by the great Leonardo da Vinci with the tarot archetypes. The aim of author Caitlin Matthews' exercise is at once profound and unpretentious. Fully illustrated, the major arcana card titles have been changed to compatible alternatives in many instances, and the suits have been named after the four classical elements (Fire, Water, Air, Earth), rather than their traditional symbolic equivalents (Wands, Cups, Swords, Pentacles). Originally published simultaneously in the U.S. by St. Martin's Press and in the U.K. by Connections Book Publishing, the set was out of print for several years until picked up in 2020 by Red Feather for reissue.
