Early self-published tarot featuring original artwork on the face side of the cards, and image-inspired poetry on the card back. The minor arcana suits have 13 cards each, which use sequential numbering 1 - 13 rather than employing actual court cards -- making 74 cards in all. The illustration sides are black-and-white, while the poetry on the reverse side is bounded in purple boxes on silver backgrounds, which in turn are bounded by purple borders. The card names are repeated on the card backs above the poems. The suits are renamed Knives (Wands), Bowls (Cups), Pens (Swords), and Sticks (Pentacles).
