Apophenia Tarot

As the artist notes, Apophenia is "...the tendency to perceive a connection or meaningful pattern between unrelated or random things (such as objects or ideas)." Whether the deck's title is a sly wink at the very nature of tarot is an open question. What is clearer is the deck's unflinching approach to its imagery - bold, modern, and at times quite dark. The illustration style evokes undertones of graffiti sprayed on an urban building or freight train car. The minor arcana cards lack written titles, but can be identified by the coloration of the circles containing the card numbers (or symbols, in the case of the courts).
