Clarity Tarot

Simple, black-and-white deck with images pared down to their basic, emotive essence. Unlike most decks with wide borders, the illustrations do not feel minimized or "swallowed up" by the empty space around them. This may be owing to the clearly contrasting white line drawings against the inky black background that helps to make the details easily pop for the eye. The Majors and pip cards retain their traditional titles, but the Court cards are renamed -- first in their suits, which unlike the pips, are named for their elemental correspondences, and then by their rank, in which Page, Knight, Queen, and King are replaced by the titles Apprentice, Essence, Guide, and Alchemist respectively.
