Haitian actors and models recreate the iconic Waite-Smith images in this photographic deck. The inspiration for the deck is best summed up in the accompanying booklet: "The name of the Ghetto Tarot was inspired by the 'Ghetto Bienniale'. The 'Ghetto Biennale' is an art exhibition happening every two years and an invitation by Atis Rezistans to visiting Western and non-Western artists to come to Haiti and create collaborative art with them. The masterpieces of Atis Rezistans are sculptures, paintings and collages made out of plastic, metal, tires, timbers, old dolls and even real human bones. The beauty that the artists see hidden within the waste radiates from their works." The cards are slightly oversized; the suits of Wands and Swords have bee renamed "Brooms" and "Machetes" respectively.
