Federico II's accomplishments include the establishment of an efficient government structure for his time, and a strong support of the fine arts. He was also an accomplished falconer, and as such, artist Solari uses falcons to represent the major arcana tarot figures. The illustrations are black-and-white, rendered in Solari's characteristic pontillistic-like style.
