Old Style Tarot

Created by Alexander Ray and illustrated by Liudmila Anuchina, the Old Style Tarot attempts to bring useful symbolism for the 21st century into its imagery. The illustrations are imbued with a classical Renaissance style, but Ray avoids the esoteric, ultra-occult symbolic minutiae in favor of elements easily understood and associated by the modern student. Blossoming sprigs, crowns, chrysalises, and more speak to our contemporary understanding of literary, artistic, and cultural motifs. Includes a 79th, blank card for users to include their own personalized image into the mix.
