Reproduction made from scans of an original, first edition Rider/Waite/Smith deck, with borders and titles removed. The images have been recolored and retextured to give them a somewhat "vintage" look, although arguably the color in the center of the cards remains perhaps a bit too bright for that designation. Still, the cards have a charming retro feel. The deck has been released in both standard tarot and "bridge" (playing card) sizes. There appears to be at least three different editions of the deck as well, each with their own tweaks and extra cards. For our library copy, the deck included extra, brighter-colored copies of the Hermit and Wheel cards, and extra copies of all Page and Knight cards facing the opposite direction from the original. Additionally, the clothing on the figures of the reversed figures Page cards has been "feminized"; see example Page of Cups in sample card scans.
NOTE: The cards as issued do NOT include any preprinted keywords. Keywords present in sample scans were handwritten on the cards by a previous owner.
