Originally published in 2013 under the title The Animal Wisdom Tarot, this 2020 re-issue of Brunke and Liola’s zoological collection of totem beasts does a fairly good job of wedding fauna to tarot. While all the basic associations remain the same, the entirety of the deck’s card titles have been changed, from the names on the majors and courts to the suit designations. Here, the suits are Branches (Wands), Shells (Cups), Feathers (Swords), and Fossils (Pentacles), while the courts are Seer (Page/Princess), Seeker (Knight/Prince), Nurturer (Queen), and Guardian (King).
