With a title that translates to "Sarmation Tarot of Poland" -- or, more concisely, "The Polish Tarot", Rafal Prinke's ultra-limited edition and highly collectible majors deck celebrates the history and mythology of the ancestors of the Polish nation. Originally published in 1980 in black-and-white, a few hand-colored copies were made available via Frank Jensen's private publishing company in 1991.

Tarot Sarmaticus
Extremely pleased with this item, even though it's neither the most beautiful, nor the most complex set of cards I have. I know Rafal Prinke and have wanted this deck for years. He doesn't even have one himself, though he kindly gave me one of his alchemical decks. The cards arrived in perfect condition, in the original box. They've just arrived and I need to sit and read through the sheet describing their significance, but it's extremely interesting to learn the identify, for example, of the Polish magus riding his cockerel, bowed to by a devil. An idiosyncratic deck, well worth considering for your collection. Only 30 exist, however, though I do already have a photocopy facsimile that Frank Jensen sent me as a gift a few years ago. My first purchase from Tarot Garden, but it won't be my last!
