A slightly surrealistic amalgamation of animal imagery and traditional tarot iconography, the Wooden Tarot appears to get its name from the original medium of the illustrations, which were created as acrylics, colored pencil, and goauche on wood. The suits have been renamed as Bones, Blooms, Plumes, and Stones -- which we assume to correspond to Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles respectively; however, the deck does not have an LWB available in the box or online, so this is admittedly a guess on our part. The Aces have been retitled "Gods" (e.g., "God of Plumes"). A "Happy Squirrel" card is included.
