While not the first Shakespearean tarot to hit the market, Michael Kucharski's 2017 entry into the arena of classic literary-themed decks is actually not a bad pick for enthusiasts who prefer more of a Marseille-bent to their decks. With the majors and courts mostly focused on aligning characters with the more popularly-accepted card attributes, and the minors peppered with non-scenic but elegant pips, this deck plays largely to the Renaissance Fair-loving part of all of us. Each suit is centered around a particular play -- Henry V for Scepters (Wands), Taming of the Shrew for Cups, MacBeth for Swords, and The Merchant of Venice for Coins. In this deck, Scepters are elementally associated with air, and Swords are associated with fire.
