Subtitled "A Modern Oracle", the Sage Tarot actually pulls much of its artistic inspiration from historical works of sculpture and fine art. The majors and pips also feature symbols of Hebrew letter and astrological correspondences. An interesting feature of the court cards is that for each suit, when placed side-by-side, the four images combine to create an extended tableau. Traditional titling is used, except for the suit of Coins / Pentacles, which here is called "Plates." The minors feature scenic (i.e., fully illustrated) pips.
