Alice in Wonderland seems to remain a popular thematic subject for tarot — but Siegel and Vannina‘s deck is the first one based directly on the classic Disney animated version from 1951. Vannina’s illustrations are rendered in a style that is less reminiscent of the film, and more like the recent “modernized“ style found in many of the recirculated IPs seen on the Disney Channel — but this updating makes the cards no less appealing. The minor arcana suits have been renamed Flowers (Wands), Teacups (Cups), Spears (Swords), and Hedgehogs (Pentacles).
