Promotional art tarot, consisting of art-print-sized reproductions of the major arcana cards from a 19th century Milanese tarot. The prints measure 13 in. x 5-3/4 in. This tarot is listed in Stuart Kaplan's Encyclopedia of Tarot, vol. III, under the name “Antonio Vallardi Tarot,” after the name of the publishing firm who produced the prints. The sheets were designed as a promotional item for the Midy Pharmaceutical company; the back designs of the cards feature the Midy name. According to Kaplan, a selection of black-and-white minor arcana cards were included with the large, color major arcana cards.
