A collaborative effort of four artists makes up the Ostara Tarot -- so named for the "pagan vernal equinox, [which] marks the midpoint of spring and ushers in a time of light, rebirth, and new growth." The art styles of the contributors are distinct, yet compatible. There is both grace and power in each card; many are character- or story-driven, while others are rendered to appeal more to emotion than to intellect. Some may find challenges in reading with a deck whose illustrations stray from a single, cohesive approach -- but we find the results fresh and intriguing.
