This is it -- your basic, U.S. Games-issued reprint of the famous Rider-Waite (a.k.a. Rider-Waite-Smith or Waite-Smith) tarot deck. If you've never seen this deck before, we'd like to know what rock you've been under for the last 40 years. (Okay, we're joking about that -- but seriously, it seems as though even the least tarot-savvy among the populace has seen at least one or two cards from this baby). We'd write more about this deck, except that it's been expounded upon at length, from every conceivable angle, by folks who are far more eloquent and knowledgeable than us. Some collectors center their entire focus around every edition and variant of this deck. Our hats are off to those of you who have done such an amazing job of helping to further our understanding of this immensely influential contribution to the field of tarot.

November 2020 update: the latest variant added to this listing is the "100% Plastic Rider Tarot Deck" -- an edition, as the title suggests, printed on a flexible plastic material that is more resistant to damage. Easy to shuffle, and according to the publisher, lasts "up to 50 times longer than paper cards".
