Originally published in 1983, the Tarocchi Guttuso was commissioned by Moda 90 of Trieste, who charged Guttuso with the task of creating a truly 'modern' tarot. Initially released as a limited edition of 2,000 signed and numbered copies in a basic lidded cardboard box, the deck was republished ca. 2001 in a non-limited edition and packaged in a red-flock box with clasp closure. Guttuso's illustrations are by turns satirical, 'hip,' and erotic.
