The symbolism of the minor arcana is multilayered, with icon-size illustrations of Marseilles-style cards and technological diagrams superimposed on fragments of Medieval-style drawings. Like a jigsaw puzzle, backgrounds of the minors can be arranged to form a larger tableau. Only the Court Cards and Marseilles icons are in color; the rest of the card illustrations are in black-and-white.
