gorgeous deck
Beautiful deck, unique take on the themes. Very well thought out and inspiring deck. Cards are a larger size, which is great for showcasing the rich, borderless artwork and details of the symbolism. But, they can be a little harder to shuffle if you have smaller hands. Also a pretty slippery cardstock. I knew these things in advance, however, so this was neither a drawback nor a surprise. Would be great as an altar card deck or a working deck. Picked up the companion book separately and I'd say it's pretty important, as a number of the card meanings divert notably from typical RWS clones and the schematic basis of the deck's logic are unique to this creator's work. Again, not a drawback, just something to be aware of. One could read with this without the companion guide, but the insights and historical context given within it are very helpful and enliven the experience of using the deck, so I would very much recommend it. A worthy addition to any collection, especially for those with an interest in Ancient Egypt and/or astrology.
