Trick or Treat Tarot

For some reason, tarot and Halloween seem to go together like peanut butter and chocolate. Perhaps that’s why Moore and Hunt‘s Trick or Treat Tarot is not the first Halloween-themed deck to enter the arena. But there’s definitely a mature stylistic feel to Hunt’s artwork, making the deck more of a nostalgia piece for grown-ups rather than one that fully unleashes the viewer’s inner child. And of course, with a guidebook written by the endlessly talented Moore — who has opted not to give into the temptation to rename cards or suits just for the sake of matching the deck’s theme — you can’t really go wrong.
