Akiko Ikeda has written almost forty books, based in the manga fantasy world of Wachifield. It features a feline character named Dayan, and follows his adventures. The books have been very popular, although relatively unknown outside Japan. These tarot majors, inspired by Ikeda's characters, were originally published in a Japanese magazine -- on card stock, so they could theoretically be cut out and actually used. The cards were later released as a standard deck/book set.
