Fantasy artist Stephanie Pui-Mun Law spent six years creating the 78 images of the Shadowscapes Tarot. Wizards, fairies, unicons, and other characters whimsical and fantastic populate the delicate, breezy, colorful scenes. While we at the Tarot Garden always tend to prefer un-bordered cards in our decks, the gentle silver borders surrounding the scenes are tasteful enough, and manage to avoid overpowering the central tableaus. Barbara Moore, who has authored several companion manuals for popular decks (including the Gilded Tarot and Mystic Faerie Tarot), manages once again to make her text extremely accessible for the tarot novice.
